360 Search is Here!

360 Search - Search Multiple Reference ResourcesPPLD is proud to present our most recent feature on ppld.org: 360 Search!

360 Search is a tool that allows you to search multiple reference resources at the same time. By “reference resources”, we are referring to our Electronic Reference databases as well as our Catalog. So rather than search our databases and Catalog separately for information you are looking for or researching, you can use this tool to search them all at the same time.

360 Search is only available to PPLD cardholders from home. However, it is available to anyone at all our Library facilities.

The Grapes of Wrath at Theatreworks

UCCS Theatreworks, in collaboration with PPLD’s All Pikes Peak Reads 2008, proudly presents:

The Grapes of Wrath at TheatreworksTHE GRAPES OF WRATH
by John Steinbeck
adapted by Frank Galati

September 25 - October 19

Headed west to the promised land of California, the Joad family finds greed, lust, fire, rain, and murderous rage. Yet, on they go. This is the classic story of ordinary people struggling to keep their humanity in the face of massive economic desperation. It’s an essential American epic, a collective life memory, even more moving in the theater than on the page.

Vagabond Opera

Vagabond OperaSaturday, August 9, 7 p.m.

Weaving elements of Kurt Weil, Duke Ellington and Edith Piaf with absurdist flair, theatrics and an old world mood, Vagabond Opera presents the new wave of opera–lusty voices singing in 11 languages and presenting a cabaret of rich musical phrasing, sparkling lyrics and indomitable stage presence, all played with exuberance, skill and a gritty Vagabond edge. This is Opera liberated and reinvented for everyone.
